Edge case brownies.

They'll make your core dump.

Here.

And here.

Sunday was a beautiful day. I stepped out onto the balcony, sat down, and drew my knees to my chest. Beautiful and bright and sunny and warm. Just a slight breeze. I was feeling a bit sad, this is true. But that's when I saw him; the hummingbird. He landed there in the tree right next to the balcony. Kind of an awkward place to land. It was on the very tip of a bud, and I saw him rock back and forth a couple times to try and keep his balance. I stared at him, expecting him to dart away... But he didn't. He sat there, looking left, looking right. Looking at what I thought might be me, cocking his head this way and that. He stuck out his pink ribbon of a tongue and flicked it at the wind. A little dollop of fluff with a needle beak sticking out. I don't know how he had come to find me on that Sunday afternoon... But I was happy to have him in my company.
