Did this a while ago, but wanted to share. After a billion failed attempts at replacing the gross handles that I found screwed onto to my fridge when I moved in, I finally succeeded in masking the gross. I ended up taking the original handles, washing them off with deglosser (or whatever it's called), and repainting them via paint+primer (all in one) rustoleum spray paint. The process was slow because I'm a lazy SOB. Did about 3 coats per side by "screwing" them to the bottom of a box that I sketchily took into the parking garage for spraying. Behowld.
Beautiful, right? Not really, I know (I bet they'd look so much better if I didn't have a camera that still uses 4 jillion AA batteries). But a lot better than before, trust me. Currently working on bathroom fix-up (which is also taking forever, because I'm lazy and like to play STO instead). Dude, it's way too late and I ate way too much to be sitting here... pro...crast...inating...
