- Saturday practice for girls basketball with bagels at the end; I always got the cinnamon sugar bagel (and felt sick afterwards)
- I always loved to watch my dad pour creamer into his coffee; at first it was almost like the creamer had disappeared completely, but then he would stir it and the coffee would instantly turn a light brown (it was almost like a magic trick)
- My dad used to put on his socks by turning them inside out, matching the toe parts to his toes, and then reversing them while simultaneously pulling them over his feet (also magic)
- Cutting home-made Christmas cookies with my mom in the garage so that the dough wouldn't get too warm
- My dad's laptop; it was one of those kind that tripped out whenever you poked the screen with your finger
- Miss Purdy and Phoenix, the cat and dog owned by my mom's (former) friend in the massage therapy industry
- I tried to be a photographer for the HS newspaper, but used this shitty digital camera that took the worst pictures
- Picking blueberries with my mom in the summer
- Loading up bushels of apples with my mom in the fall
- Going on field trips in elementary school to see how maple syrup was made
- The Old Times Cafe and its characteristic smoke+pancakes smell
- Marching in the Memorial Day Parade in a bluebird costume that my mom made based on a stilt-walker outfit that I saw at Circus Camp
- Circus Camp and the praying mantis mask I made for one of the acts
- Kee when we first got her; I was so excited to play with her that I lifted her out of the litter box while she was still going to the bathroom...
